This Norman ogival style edifice (12th and 13th Centuries) was an episcopal seat until the French Revolution. It also was Therese’s parish church before her entering Carmel. Near the entrance is the chapel where Therese made her first confession. In the south ambulatory, a modern statue marks the place where Therese attended Mass each Sunday. The high altar was given by Monsieur Martin, in 1888.
